MARCY STEIN

Over the past 30 years, Marcy has held a range of positions within the construction, finance, and real estate industries in New York City. Her experience is an asset to her clients.   

 

She has completed many different types of projects in New York City.  Projects include office and hotel towers, residential buildings, schools, and not-for-profits.  Marcy understands the unique requirements of her clients and excels at guiding them through the intricacies of the development process.

 

Marcy has developed expertise in providing project oversight on behalf of overseas equity partners and developers.  Her clients represent investment funds and equity from various locales such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Japan, and Israel.  She also represents local owners and investors helping them to create the project of their dreams.

 

Marcy remains active in the real estate community at large and has served as co-chair of the Program Committee for the Association of Real Estate Women. In 2005, she was named to the Top 50 Women in Real Estate by Real Estate Weekly and received the Women of Valor Award from the St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelter. Marcy was also named to the 40 Under 40 in 2003 by the New York Real Estate Journal and to the Top 20 Women in Real Estate in 2006 by Development New York.

 

Marcy has been a frequent speaker at St. Vincent College, Messiah College, and New York University on the role of the Owner’s Representative. Recently, she was selected to the Wall of Fame by her high school in Pittsburgh, PA, and was the commencement speaker in May 2023.

 

On a personal note, she has done development work in both Kenya and Rwanda.  In Rwanda, she created an Agriculture Program through a public school.   This included a community garden and a poultry program to address hunger and nutrition issues.  In Kenya, she outfitted a kitchen in a Massai Village and help built a synagogue.  She also serves on the Board of Directors of Gateway Dental which provides dental services to the homeless.  Marcy has an M.S. in Construction Management from Pratt Institute School of Architecture and a B.A. in Communications from Ithaca College.
